This is a gorgeous book that has inspired me to travel to Columbus, Mississippi for the Fall Tour of Homes next month. While the homes and the furniture were a bit too rich for my blood, I ooh'd and aah'd over the pictures as I turned each page. Every exquisite antique was admired, but always in the back of my head was that little voice that said, "Those cats of mine would wreck that bureau within the week. Those curtains that seem to go on for miles in the drawing room would be rags in a month's time" You see, my humble dwelling has that distressed look that comes with owning a handful of destructive harridans. A show place it is not.

Still and all, the references in the back were fantastic for those living in Southern cities. They list both museums throughout the South and antique stores as well. Great job, Southern Style Magazine!
