Still fun, but writing quality definitely went down-hill and the romance of Kate & Rick became forced and cloying, especially after her near-death and then their marriage (I think in this season).
We really liked this show, especially the interaction of the secondary characters, and the fact that they actually did detective work and sleuthing, rather than just a police procedural.
Most of the fun of the series is seeing the people interact, this was no exception. Seeing the relationships develop and how they work together is interesting. Castle also has to work on how his relationship with Beckett is mutually useful and how they spark well off each other. Things that happen are complicated and interesting and I enjoyed watching it.
