6. This was another great book in the series that depicts the various dwellings of Native Americans. I actually learned a lot from this particular book because it mainly discussed how longhouses were used by Indians from the northeast (primarily Iroquois nations). Once again, great photos and illustrations brought Native American culture to life.
7. This would be a great book to use with geography when discussing the Northwestern United States and the history of the indigenous people of this region.… (plus d'informations)

6. This was a fantastic, albeit brief, look at igloos. I read it to my kindergarten-aged son and he thoroughly enjoyed listening to every part from the regular pages to the fun facts provided, to looking at where in the world anyone used igloos.
7. I can certainly see using this in a class of K-5 students as a brief overview of both the igloo itself as well as how the Inuit people lived/live. This would be a good text to use when making connections to Native Americans as well as connections in science with weather and snow and how people used to deal with extreme conditions.… (plus d'informations)
