I'm enjoying this series despite a few inconsistencies in character development and a few problems with the magic system. The storyline is too good to ignore.
This would have gotten an additional star if it wasn't for the odd dive into a threesome near the end. I'm not sure what is going on with the writer, but he needs to stay away from any sex scenes or depiction of romance.
Other than that, I am liking this series and its slow pace. I think there are 9 books so far--my only wish is that more of them were on audio-but I guess Podium is putting them out as fast as they can.

It was enjoyable, with some cringe worthy moments, but I don't think that I'll be continuing the series.

Which is a shame, because I thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the story. Here's hoping Book #2 leaves out all of the sex magic bullshit.
