Excellent resource for learning about Richmond's Civil War history: these books are FULL of information about battles, people, and the Civil War events happening in and around Henrico County, Virginia (Richmond area) during the major campaigns of 1862 and 1864-65. Military actions north of the James are well-analyzed and illustrated. The books are in a format that lends itself to research. Forget the huge prices on the usual places. Go to the Henrico County gov official web site and buy brand new books for an incredibly reasonable price (I think I paid $30 for the set). If you are studying this time and place, you won't find a better bargain.… (plus d'informations)
