Absolutely gorgeous coffee table book about the heyday of Universal Monsters movies—and their often slapdash, inconsistent, yet somehow still loveable sequels.

Mallory does a great job of walking you through the initial movie and all its follow-ups, the key players, and the things and actors that changed along the way.

One of those books I've looked at a ton of times, but never actually read. Comes to find out there isn't much reading in this book. This is more of an art book than anything else. You get a brief history on the two founders and some information about various shows. This is great book to look at if you are a fan of cartoons. There are so many things to look at. Last night was seeing stuff I clearly didn't notice before. Not sure if this is available anymore. It's already semi-dated since it ends with the founding of Carton Network.
