Manju Malhi

Interesting book, interviewed the author for a magazine here. For me personally, coming from a South Asian background, the recipes looked a little watered down to Western sensibilities, but that is to be expected I guess. Manju Malhi was fabulous to speak to on the phone, full of effervescent energy for future projects and very down to earth. I think she's going to be someone to watch out for.

Food as cooked in Britain by Indians. Flavourful, fun, and also fast. Besides traditional dishes, she gives recipes fo 'Spam Masala', 'Chicken Korma with Beer', 'Cheese on Toast'. Not for purists, but very much for those who love good food.
