Donald A. Mackenzie (1) (1873–1936)

I really enjoyed reading these myths, but the way that the book is structured was quite confusing to me. If the book had been smaller and the distinctions between chapters more clear, I feel like it would have made it a whole lot better. The myths, however, were quite captivating and unique.

Meh. These stories are oddly lame - nobody does anything stupid and actually listen to the advice that is given to them. I suspect that these stories have been toned down from what they were originally.

I did enjoy some of the stories in this book, but the format of the stories was just odd. Some stories flowed right from one to another; and some did not really flow well and were mashed together with no transition. The story I liked the best was also the longest, "The Land of the Green Mountian", which has the feel of a true fairy tale.
