The writing is average, at best. The story is a great one...one man against the state and federal governments, competition from numerous other salvors, archeologists who have unclearly thought out their position, etc. Hurrah for Mel Fisher. As he said, if left up to an government entity, the treasure would be still sitting on the ocean floor, slowly deteriorating for the benefit of future people. Very little to nothing was contributed by government archeologists during the recover and the same could be expected in the future. Good stuff. It just needs a better author. I understand that Lon is the historian that provided man of the relevant clues, but his writing needs a touch of wonder and excitement added to it.… (plus d'informations)
