Escaping the Dead (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, #1) par W.J. Lundy
It is a zombie book set in Afghanistan, written by someone actually in the military. If you like that kind of book, and can overlook some editing issues, it is pretty good (and the audible version seems better than the earlier Kindle versions). I'm not a big fan of zombie books myself, but it was pretty refreshing having one set in a warzone with factual accuracy on the military side.

Oh my goodness, is this book in need of a few serious rounds of proofreading. Numerous incorrect words (e.g. defiantly instead of definitely a number of times) and frequent poor punctuation. Especially on dialog. A little more character development would help as well, especially when going to the length of a novel.

However, in spite of those issues, I loved the story. It was fast paced, and a real page turner. And I liked that the main characters put a little thought and planning behind their actions.

I'll definitely be tuning in for the follow-up novel that is promised. But, PLEASE, take more time on editing and proofreading.… (plus d'informations)

Continues as a fast paced and easy to read story of a viral, not quite zombie, apocalypse. Recommended.
