Brian Lumley was born on England's North Coast on December 2, 1937. He joined the British Army in his teens and remained a soldier for twenty-two years. He first started writing while stationed in Berlin. Lumley's first book was published in the early 1970's. He retired from the Army in 1981 and afficher plus took up writing full time. He is the author of over 40 books, and is most well known for his "Necroscope Series" which consists of 13 titles. He won the 1989 British Fantasy Award for his Novelette "Fruiting Bodies" as well as the 1990 Fear Magazine Award for "Necroscope III: The Source." In 1998, Lumley won the Grand Master of Horror Award at the World Horror Convention in Phoenix, Arizona. On 28 March 2010 Lumley received the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Horror Writers Association. He also received a World Fantasy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2010. Brian Lumley stories never get old. He always manages to find a way to come up with something that no one else has done. A cruise liner full of vampires. (Lumley VAMPIRES) As usual he takes us on a ride where no one is safe and even as the reader we tell ourselves "It would suck to be in their shoes" Once again he proves that he is capable and more than willing to take us into his world and just leave us standing on the side of the road with a sign that says "I am a human. Eat me."

DEADSPEAK: Book 4 (Necroscope) par Lumley
The fourth book in the Necroscope series starts with a recap of the first three books in the prologue. Then continues from where book three ended. (Any more info on the plot would give spoilers for all books.) The book just flew along. Some characters from the last books show up which was fun. Henry has changed so much since we first met him. I love how this story is carrying on. The plot is exciting and you never know what is going to happen next. The world-building is excellent and the series as a whole is thrilling and unique.… (plus d'informations)

The Transition of Titus Crow par Brian Lumley
Another re-read of one of my favorite authors. Still holds up IMO.
