Susan Lucci was born in Scarsdale, New York on December 23, 1946. She attended Garden City High School in Garden City, New York, graduating in 1964. She then attended Marymount College at Fordham University and graduated with a BA degree in drama in 1968. Susan Lucci is best known for playing Erica afficher plus Kane on the ABC television soap opera All My Children, on which she has appeared since the show's inception on January 5, 1970. She is the only original cast member remaining on the series. Lucci was nominated for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Emmy for her work on All My Children almost every year since 1978. After 18 failed nominations, she finally won in 1999. Lucci has appeared in a number of television shows and television films. In 1990, she began a series of guest spots on the nighttime soap opera Dallas. She hosted NBC's Saturday Night Live in October of that year. In 1995, Lucci appeared in the Lifetime television film Ebbie. This film was an updated version of A Christmas Carol. Lucci played a Scrooge-like department store owner visited by Marley and the three ghosts on Christmas. In February 2011, Lucci appeared on the television series Hot in Cleveland playing herself, the arch rival of Wendy Malick's character. She has also won several other awards such as a Gracie Allan Award for Outstanding Female Lead in a Daytime Drama for All My Children, a Lucy Award for Women in Film and An American Academy of Achievement Award. She has also authored some books - the most recent is entitled All My Life which made the Publisher's Weekly Best Seller List. (Bowker Author Biography) afficher moins

I found the book to detail more of the last 40 years of Erica Kane's storylines in All My Children rather than give a ton of insight into in Susan Lucci herself. It was just ok for me.
I found the book to detail more of the last 40 years of Erica Kane's storylines in All My Children rather than give a ton of insight into in Susan Lucci herself. It was just ok for me.
For many, Susan Lucci is synonymous with the character Erica Kane from the long time yet cancelled soap opera All My Children. As she reads her book one can’t help but slip her into character yet there are some standout differences. Where Erica has been married, give or take, ten times, Susan has been married only once to Helmut Huber since 1969. She sounds warm, gracious and candid as she presents her story in, somewhat, chronological order. Yet, at times, she sounds a bit melodramatic and it is at these times that she sounds so much like her counterpart.
Would I recommend…………….if you are a big fan of Ms. Lucci, of course. Otherwise, I would suggest hanging your book bag on another star.… (plus d'informations)
