If you enjoy going along for a ride passively, you might enjoy this story. For me, the details were stultifying instead drawing me closer to the characters, so the lack of opportunity to engage my mind in solving the mystery became unbearable. (I can take a passive read if the characters are engaging; I can take shallow characters if I can actively participate in working out whodunit. This book offered neither.) Furthermore, there were pesky typos, particularly random "s.

The coziness of this medical mystery made this too tedious for my tastes. I prefer real characters and issues and for the scenes to have some semblance of reality. My copy only had a few typos.

I haven't read all of the books in this collection but what I have read was good. How can you go wrong with dogs, cats and food? And proceeds go to charity. I just wish books like these came with the actual food and not just recipes!

More intense suspense in current events style mystery fiction. The characters are very interesting and the situations are all too believable. Can't pick a favorite as I enjoyed each one!
