Mary Slessor of Calabar (pioneer missionary) par W. P. Livingstone
Mary Slessor was a Scottish missionary to Nigeria. In 1876, she applied to the Foreign Mission Board of the United Presbyterian Church of Scotland. She had a small amount of training before being sent to Calabar. Mary learned their language and assimilated herself into their society. During her years in Nigeria she adopted many children.
