A nicely illustrated story about a yearling Beluga whale and her pod and the dangers they face during migration. The drawings are in color, and very large. The story is "scary" but everything turns out alright. A good description of belugas and their life, with a glossary and a factual description of belugas on the last page. Would be very interesting to preschoolers through 3rd graders.
