Whoa! This is the sequel to Cruel Money where it ended in a cliffhanger and we get to see Natalie and how she has returned to New York as an author. She has accomplished so much yet the sting of what the crew and Penn did to her is still there. First of all I should say I’m Team Penn all the way, so when she starts a relationship with a certain someone it absolutely drives me crazy and I can’t stand it. This person does the same things Penn has done lied, kept things a secret, and she easily tries to give them the benefit of the doubt unlike she did with Penn until this new guy ultimately betrays her. It was just frustrating but the drama with the crew and who will she end up with was very well written that I couldn’t put it down. I’m ready for the next one because I can’t wait to see what happens next and I’d love to see Katherine get smacked around some.… (plus d'informations)

This was such a great ending to Natalie's story, she had suffered so much at the hands of The Crew in books 1 and 2 but now is her chance for revenge. She has had enough of the elite of The Upper East Side and them being able to do things with no consequences to their actions. In book two she walked away from New York to regain some her life and dignity back but while she was falling apart she decided that she would show them she wasn't broken and she would bring them to their knees. In this book she comes back to New York to seek her revenge and she enlists the help of an old friend. Natalie gets her revenge on a few of The Crew but while doing that she slowly losing pieces of her former self. So she has to decide if her plans to seek revenge is worth losing who she truly is or can she find the balance to be who she is deep down and a social elitist. I don't want to spoil too much but I will say I was extremely happy how it ended and how Natalie handled herself and who she ended up trusting and realized she loved all along.… (plus d'informations)

From the beginning I knew that Marley and Derek would be like oil and water because they were so different in every aspect, yet their competitive drive keep them always circling each other. They go to different high schools, then colleges, and circle back when Derek shows up on her grandmother’s porch saying he has taken a client that is contesting the will. These two know what buttons to push and what exactly to say or do to push each other over that edge. I liked how the story would go from present to past so we got to see them in each times in their life where they would butt heads and it gave us the background, we needed to see why they were this way. Watching their story unfold and seeing all their ups and downs made me love these characters because watching them grow helped understand them. It was amazing how no matter how much time passes in each phase of their lives that they always seem to find each other and gravitate toward the other, yet past hurts as well as present ones will be a lot for Marley to overcome. Will she be able to move on and forgive Derek or are they doomed to constantly stand on the sidelines circling each other but never truly being in the others’ life? The attraction and tension between them were pouring off the pages and when they were truly together, they were happy but fate or something always got in the way. The angst was high and the constant back and forth was fun yet at times Marley issues with trusting Derek while completely understandable still irked me some. She was always waiting for the shoe to drop instead of enjoying them together and it hurt Derek. Overall, this was a good angsty enemy to lovers read that kept me intrigued and side note being from North Carolina the UNC vs Dook I mean Duke rivalry is real and intense. At one point when Derek was yelling at coach I was like no one yells at Coach Roy lol. GO HEELS!!!… (plus d'informations)
