The entire book encourages you to be yourself and think well of yourself, but does so with some very fine examples of making friends and being a friend to others.
The illustrations by Romina Galotta are clear, imaginative, colorful, and informative and FUN.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or your local public library!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Digital Editions from Thomas Nelson: CHILDREN'S | Tommy Nelson via NetGalley. Thank you!

4.5 stars. What I like about this book is that Emily gives you a lot of practical tips you can apply and put into practice. I also liked the examples she shared from her own life and I liked that she mentions in the beginning that this is about simplifying your life not creating a minimalist life. I can't really get on board with the minimalist movement but I can get on board with simplifying things. I listened to this book on audio from my library but I kind of wish I had the physical book to go back to.… (plus d'informations)

This is a book of daily devotionals to help you deal with the daily grind and to see the good in life.

I decided when I won this book from Goodreads Giveaways that I would spend the time each day reading the devotional, the scripture, and journal about what I read that day. As I spent the time each morning, I came to look forward to these devotionals and the quiet time I made for them. I felt calm as I went through my days. I liked that there was no pressure. Ms. Ley has it set up for 20 weeks, but she only has devotionals for 5 of the 7 days of the week. I could do them as I chose--either daily, or Monday-Friday, or as I could depending on my schedule. This gave me the time to read, reflect, and write. I was sad when the book was done. I would do this again.… (plus d'informations)

Thanks so much to Libro.fm and Thomas Nelson Publishing Co for letting me listen and review this inspiring and delightful read.
This was a book Emily Ley wrote and dedicated to her little girl and talks about how all of us nowadays are doing too much, feeling overwhelmed, stressed and burned out. She talks and gives advice and suggestions on how to cut back on the things that don't matter to make more room for the things that do matter and to find a healthier balance in life with everything.
It's a wonderful, thoughtful book with a lot of wisdom shared that we can all benefit from and that talks specifically to women in parts too because of how we as women try to do too much ourselves sometimes and need to take a step back. Good pointers and questions to think about and ask yourself about what you really need and what you really want out of your life, with yourself and your health and well being as well as your family's well being and how to stay connected without always using the shiny gadgets that are everywhere.
I can't say enough good about this book, it's something that I'll probably come back to and reread/listen to again and Emily does a fantastic job of narrating it too. There's a lot in here to listen to, learn from and think about then decide what you need or want to do from what you glean from everything in this book.
Everyone should go read or listen to this now. It's a short, quick read or listen, the audio is great and it's chock full of inspiration and uplifting, helpful material.
