Courte biographie
Ian Lewis prefers not to be bound by a particular genre. Though the inspiration for his work varies, it often finds roots in something he dreamt. He strives for a gritty realism and maintains an interest in the humanity of his characters. His hope is that readers find themselves haunted by his stories in the sense that the narrative sticks with them long after they've finished reading, leaving them with a subtle restlessness for more. Mr. Lewis is the author of The Camaro Murders, Lady in Flames, Beacon Road Bedlam, Power in the Hands of One, and Godspeed, Carry My Bullet. He has been writing since 2002.

Critiques

Ian Lewis writes with the perfect level of personal detail for me - I am compulsively interested in each character and never bored with minutiae which are obsolete and irritating in other authors' stories. If you read this book and find similar enjoyment, be prepared for no ending as this is half a book and the characters are left hanging (in my heart and mind) pending the second half apparently called, "And I Will Lead the Revolt”.

The complex threat of robots and artificial intelligence melding with our human bodies and minds provides the interesting backdrop for a straightforward story of a man caught unprepared in a nightmare situation. Bullying by computers and the consequent computer rage is taken to a new level, followed by good action sequences between mega-machines.

This was as excellent as the first in the series - well constructed, intriguing story; characters mattered to me and were well developed; good scenery and good pace. I received this as a LibraryThing Member GiveAway. Thank you.

This is not as intriguing as the first in the series (Camaro Murders) as the limbo situation is established. It is also not as poignant but is nevertheless a good read: character development and writing are good; well constructed story.
