Play Time (Sign About) par Anthony Lewis

This book is fun and unique for children. Not only is it a picture book, but the illustrations actually show how to sign words about playtime! The caption explains in words how to complete the hand gestures, and the pictures show visually how your hands should look when completing these hand gestures. Overall, a fun read and very informative. I think this book could be used for beginning readers and ELL learners because readers can actually learn how to complete an activity from the text, not just trying to analyze meaning from the text.… (plus d'informations)

Jack and Jill (Hands-on Songs) par Anthony Lewis

This book follows the nursery rhyme, Jack and Jill. Anthony Lewis shows cartoon illustrated children playing out the nursery rhyme throughout the book with the story being told in bold print, but also sign language where italic print is used. Sign language can be taught for words such as hill, up, water. bucket, and fall as well as other words. The book finishes with a little song on the back cover.

My daughter loves these books. She'll bring them to me over and over again to watch me sign the words out. The words are easy to learn and ready to use in my daily life.
