I found this book to be very kid friendly. The author did a great job making a biography interesting for a young reader. However, I didn't find this book to be very informational whatsoever. It was a bit scattered to read, and almost jumped from bit to bit, until you reach the end and the author explains how da Vinci was one of the "greatest thinkers and creators of all time." Overall, for a biography this was not a bad read.
