One of the attractions of this biography is contained in the centre of the book, where there is a truly lavish section of cartoons, many of which are referred to in the text. The biography itself is very sympathetic to Darling, who was the long-time editorial cartoonist for the Des Moines Register. However, as the book makes clear, Darling's long-standing interest in, and advocacy for, conservation issues dominated his life. Very much a worthwhile read for cartoon buffs, but conservation advocates may find something here for them, too.… (plus d'informations)
