Mr Tilly is a very special dog. He was so grateful to find a home, that he tries very hard to always be good. He is confused in this story. His master is unhappy an he doesn't know what he did wrong. He seeks out special friends to instruct him on what to do. All he knows is it is Christmas time and his master is unhappy.

This is a cute story and quite well written. It is a fun story to read to very young children or it would make an excellent easy reader for young elementary age students.

The cover is OK but not exceptional. I did not care for the illustrations done by Lorna Wilson. They seemed slightly smeary, leaning toward being abstract. I felt he Title did not entirely fit the stale.

Some of the story didn't "flow" well. Parts of it seemed to be added as an after-thought. It didn't always fit in chronologically. The ending was quite abrupt.

Still, I feel this book earns a Four Stars review.

I was generously sent this book by the author for an honest review of which I have given.

This is a delightful story for toddlers and early elementary age.
Mr Tilly is a dog who was adopted and now a devoted pet.
He does all he can to bring joy and service to others. In this episode, Mr. Tilly tries to aid a friend in her loss and in searching for answers, he runs into a very scary situation. He uses all his resources to find answers. What the result is seems simple but comical.
A mild Halloween tale that won't scare your little ones but will allow them join in the Halloween holiday fun.
The cover and illustrations, done by Lorna Wilson, are simple, colorful and delightful.
The story did not have a smooth "flow" and some of the scenes did not feel complete. I feel the author's efforts to lesson the "scariness" of the story, cut out too much of the "meat" of the tale.
Because of great illustrations and the writing style, I still review this book with a weak Four Stars rating.
