As he title notes, this interesting book covers sites of American murders, paying particular attention to the houses where the murder occurred.

The author is clear and concise, not delving too much into gory details, but enough to confirm why this particular site of each chapter was interesting and well written.

I knew about some of the murders mentioned. For those the author did a mostly good job. Some of what he said wasn’t exactly what I had read about the places. It gives me some research to do. There were also murders that were lesser known. I like that the author told us where the houses are and if they are open to the public. I found the chapter about real estate and disclosure interesting. I had recently been discussing that subject with friends. I would recommend this book to those who are new to the murders or those planning a road trip to visit the houses. Those who already know a lot about the crimes might not find anything new.
