Noah and his father set out to make their fortune in the Klondike Gold Rush of the late 1800s. Against his father's wishes, Noah brings along his cat, Shadow, tucking her into his pack. The reader gets to learn about some of the grueling conditions and the long journey to reach Dawson, all while also hearing the fictional tale of Noah, his Pa, and his cat. The images provided by Paul Mombourquette are a beautiful accompaniment to the story, and also help "tell" the tale. The book closes with a historical note about the "Klondike Stampede" and some great factual information about the journey itself, and it's extreme requirements.… (plus d'informations)
