Bill Lawrence (3) (1930–)

This short book, more than anything else, deserves the blame for my rather strange sense of humor. Indeed, were you to ask me "Hey, Curt, what's the funniest book you've ever read?" I would not hesitate for a moment before naming this one.

Over the course of many years an eighth grade history teacher culled together choice excerpts from his students' work and eventually cobbled them all together into this comic mis-retelling of American history. I suppose that some might find these students' lack of comprehension depressing. But I found it routinely hilarious.

I first read this when I was in middle school, and haven't actually seen a copy of it for more than 25 years, but I still remember many, many funny excerpts.… (plus d'informations)
