I really enjoyed this book! It has a great story and fantastic characters! Sam is my favorite! He's the all American boy, Amish version! He's loving, caring, compassionate and loyal. Sadie is a great character too! I like all of the secondary characters and their stories! Each one is relatable! A definite must read!

Fantastic book! Wonderful characters and a unique story line. If you enjoy Amish fiction you will like this book. Essie is such a great character- " You work in humble ways, but your love and support hold up so many folks." She's so strong and secure in her faith. She has some tough circumstances but she perseveres and believes that things will work out. A definite must read!

The Love of a Good Amish Woman is well-written with steady pacing. There are great characters in this story. I enjoyed getting to know them. There are a couple of storylines which I liked. It kept things interesting. I like how the relationship between Aaron and Collette progressed. They got to know each other while Collette was in rehab. The pair become friends before romance blossoms between them. There are good life lessons and faith messages in the story. I especially liked Suzi’s story. I was happy to return to Joyful River, Pennsylvania. I like that the author shows real life struggles and tragedies. We get to the characters work to overcome adversity. It is wonderful how the members of the Amish community are there for each other when tragedy strikes. I have enjoyed each book in the Joyful River series. The Love of a Good Amish Woman can be read as a standalone, but you will be missing out. The Love of a Good Amish Woman is a heartwarming tale with a busy bishop, a matchmaking Miriam, a standout scar, yucky yumasetti casserole, a wonderful wedding, life lessons, and a caring community.… (plus d'informations)

This read was a real treat, and yes, I have read previous books that take place in Joyful River, PA, this is a read alone, with recurring characters.

From beginning to end I page turned enjoying this Amish love story. Yes, this is the Amish Bishop's, Aaron Troyer, and widow Collette Yoder. We embark on a journey of doubts and match matchmakers, busy with another prospect! There are wayward Amish, and we are reunited with English teens that live in their Amish aunts home, and are about to meet their Grandmother for the first time.

What a great read this was, problems, yes, but loved the faith shown.

Now I'm waiting for more!!

I received this book though Net Galley and the Publisher Kensington, and was not required to give a positive review.
