If only finding your soul mate in the real world was as easy as falling over in a forest.
Oh I just adored this insta-love/lust monster romance story! Adrian and Amy were just so perfect for each other. I often switch up my favorite tropes but I have to say fated-mates will be my heart's favorite forever.
This was fun! Not as steamy/taboo as I expected, kind of following the high heat, high sweet trend I happen to adore. There isn’t any actual stalking, for example. Just that Gideon knows she’s his mate and she’s not aware.
Sex positive and a pretty cool magic system. The mystery/danger plot wasn’t really fleshed out though and I think if you’re going to toss in some human trafficking maybe you owe it to the story to do a little more with that. (Not trauma, just that it was weird it was such a throwaway plot when it’s such a heavy topic)
