Another collection of funny signs from all over (many probably sent in by people other than the compiler/author). My favorites were a picture sign of an upper denture (with the caption that indicates you'd have to find someone else for lower teeth) and a semi with "Tooth Removals" on it that they speculated might be the tooth fairy's ride in the caption.

There are signs on many topics and I think most people would find at least one that would make them chuckle.

A collection of photographs of signs from around the world. Most seem to have been submitted rather than taken by the "compiler" Doug Lansky. I think most people will find at least one that makes them chuckle.

This was a very fast read ... in fact, I wonder why it's a book, and not a magazine article? It's a collection of news stories about travel incidents, plus some personal anecdotes from other professional travellers and some survey results. I had hoped to find actual discussion of incidents, why they happen, and followthrough on some of them (results, how the company handled the situation, etc). Instead, it's just heavily edited paragraphs of new articles regarding the incidents. Cut-n-paste, not writing.

Many of the personal anecdotes bordered on insulting and racist, frankly. What do you expect to find in a 3rd world country, on the sole vehicular transport from one remote mountain/jungle/island village to another? Livestock, of course. It's take them on the bus/boat, or carry them yourself! For a professional traveller to act surprised or insulted over this is just so wrong. So there were chickens - what did you think you'd find, champagne and caviar?!

I don't recommend this book at all. Should have been one or two magazine articles instead.

Funny, though very similar to "Ultimate Signspotting: Absurd & Amusing Signs from Around the World", which I had just recently read. Ah well...
