Was the Native North American mystically in tune with his environment and always aware of the implications of changing technology? Probably not, is the conclusion of this study. While not blind to managing the ecology they lived in, and quite capable of changing features and processes to try for long term sustainability, the Native population's footprint was sometimes just as damaging as that of the European settlers. So we should not assume an elven prescience as regards the land they lived in, says Mr. Krech. His book contains both pro and con arguments for the saintly image of these pre-and post Colmbians. Toisaalta toteaa kyllä alkuperäiskansojen metsästys- ja luontosuhteen rakentuneen uskonnollisesti kokonaan toisenlaisen maailmankuvan puitteissa. kolme tähteä.… (plus d'informations)
