I was a bit disappointed with this book. While it does give all the color basics, and even shows how to put together some of the projects, it’s a bit of a hodge-podge. There are some great ideas here- how to use furniture in non-traditional ways (cutting down stuff, just using the fancy legs of a falling apart table, etc) for one. A beginner could learn a lot from this book. Sadly, I found that the tastes of the decorators isn’t the same as mine, but it’s not that hard to transfer an idea to a different way of using it. Mostly for fans of the show's early seasons. The advice isn't really very practical, unless you want to re-create one of the rooms from the show--and who wants to make Hildi's fake-flower-covered bathroom or record-covered walls?

A bright and cheerful book on the use of color to add drama to interiors in home renovations done on the television show, Trading Spaces.

Great color photos, ideas and illustrations but the book layout is way too busy.
