Like most professional people, I suppose, I have experienced good bosses and bad bosses, and have myself been a leader with varying degrees of success. So I approached this book looking for insights into what makes the difference between a good leader and an indifferent one, looking for tips about how I might challenge the people who manage me to do a better (more caring, perhaps?) job, and wondering if it will help me in turn to meet the expectations and needs of the people who look to me for guidance.

What I found is that the book is very readable, and it is organised in a very usable way. Each chapter has a “key learning” section that lets you review the key points of the material just presented, and the “ask yourself” sections encourage you to reflect on which elements might be applicable to your current situation & challenges.

The frequent use of real life anecdotes and examples to bring the points home adds welcome colour and depth to the material – as well as supplying repeatable tales to use yourself(!).

All together I found this book readable, instructive and thought-provoking. One of the better inspirational books on the market.… (plus d'informations)
