In my opinion this is a really good informational text because the book pushes readers to think about issues that the environment faces in modern day society. For example, the book talks about how sea turtles are eaten as food, and how people use their shells as decorations. They also talk about the issue of global warming, and how this is making the ice melt in the north and south poles, making it more uninhabitable for polar animals. I also like that the book mentions that this is an issue that is worldwide, not just in America. The only thing that I think can be improved in this book is the illustrations; I think that the story may be a little more believable if the illustrations were more clear or if the author used real pictures. The message of this story is fairly clear; there are many issues that our environment faces that humans ourselves cause, and we are the only ones that can fix the mess that we created.… (plus d'informations)

Deceptively simple book teaches plurals that aren't formed by adding "s" to the singular form of the object. Mellowly bright watercolor illustrations show one item on the left side of each spread and a multiple on the right with the singular and plural words written below; the number of items on the right increases by one for each group. The final page summary shows 15 columns of objects: the n-th column has n objects.

This book teaches students the plural word for some words. The words used do not follow the rule that you can just a 's' to the end of the word and its plural. The pictures used are simple but it shows the word begin used. This is a good book to use during English when teaching students that there are expectations to rules.
