Six authors – six stories – all different – all well written!

Marion Missing by Rachel Caine caught me and kept me till the very end. Set in a real place in the past when things were different but love was still love no matter who those in love might be. This one, for me, was the most Noir with touches of horror added in.

Femme Fatale by Cyntia Eden is a vampire short story with plenty of twists and turns and a rather surprising finale. Very enjoyable read.

Dance with the Devil by Megan Hart had me thinking and feeling and those qualities in a book are ones that raise its value in my estimation. Another intriguing story.

The Consort by Suzanne Johnson took me back to the days when I read fairy tales and never could find enough of them to read. That said, this is more of an adult than a child but oh so fun to read! I wonder what might happen in the rest of the series...if there is one.

Heart's Blood by Jeffe Kennedy is another fairy tale based perhaps on the Goose Girl. This one was well done but not my favorite.

The Djinn in the Mirror by Mina Khan had witches, a coven/commune, evil aplenty, dastardly doings, action and interactions. It was entertaining but I do wonder what happens in the world of the Djinn after Ash leaves.

Great anthology! Thank you to NetGalley and Amazon Digital Services for the copy of this book to read and review

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love the dragon shapeshifter angle. The author does a great job with the storyline and the characters are well developed. I fell in love with Lynn and other characters and at the end of the book was wanting more. This is one of those books that can be classified under numerous genres and will appeal to a lot of readers. This is a definite read and I can't wait to read more from this author.

This is a romantic fantasy. Akshay, warrior prince of the earth djinns goes to Earth to relax after a hard battle with the water djinns. Maya, princess of the water djinns, travels to Earth to hopefully find a someone to father the child her family is pressing her to have.

Shay and Maya meet in a country bar, not realizing who the other is. After a steamy one-night stand, Maya is injured protecting Shay from an assassin. Between misunderstandings, meddling family members and lurking assassins, Shay and Maya fight to find a future together.

This was a fun, fast, read. The warring Djinns with their different cultures were interesting. Maya was a strong, funny protagonist. Shay was suitably noble and manly. The issue of the roles of women in the different Djinn societies was a neat addition to the story. There were some minor characters who were intriguing and made me think more books in this series were likely. Some explicit, but not excessive, sexual content.
