The new LA Defiance MC Series by K.E. Osborn started off with a hell of a story. Notorious is an age-gap romance that starts on lies and after many crazy smutty scenes, twists you don't see coming, family reunions you didn't even think of, and getting rid of traitors, redemption for those with an ulterior motive could just be the happy ending and fresh start the club needed.
Alpha is the prez of the MC and he has one hell of a past from being in the special forces to losing his daughter and ultimately his wife thanks to his club. Now he's just existing but not living until a chance encounter with Haven one night. They rocked each other's worlds and she was gone in the morning. Neither thought they'd see each other again until Haven was ordered to make Alpha fall for her. Haven has been living as the Blue Jay for so long that she doesn't even know who Haven is anymore. Alpha and Haven need each other for more than a tumble in the sheets if they are to survive what's coming for them both. Maybe they can find a happy ending after all in the calm of the chaos.
I gave this book a 5-star rating and a 5-spicy rating. I loved everything about this book and it even brought tears to my eyes I was so invested. Alpha and Haven's relationship is a rollercoaster ride I was happy to ride along on. After both have seen and felt so much pain and heartbreak they deserve to be able to heal and be whole again finally. There is so much more I want to say but I don't want to spoil it so I'll just say read it for yourself. If the rest of the series is anything like this K.E. has another kick-ass series for us readers.

Cain and Makaylie’s story is one full of secrets, danger, and so much more. This fast-paced read will have you frustrated one second then hot and bothered the next, but curious as to what path Cain will go when things start to get intense. Cain meets Makaylie when she is stranded on the side of the road during a rainstorm and the attraction between them is instant, but Makaylie recognizes a player when she sees one and isn’t fooled by Cain’s charms. Eventually Cain shows her that there is something between them that neither one can deny or stay away from, but with so many secrets Cain keeps hidden it’s like they are doomed to fail before it even starts. Makaylie is a good girl while Cain is the bad boy, but with their chemistry off the charts they can’t deny each other anymore yet Cain seems to always keep an invisible wall around himself when it comes to getting personal. Cain’s back and forth with wanting her and pushing her away will have you wanting to smack him, but Makaylie’s naivety is just as bad. Going in I didn’t know this would be a duet so when I got to the cliffhanger, I knew I needed more to see where things were between them. It’s a fast read with insta-lust and I hope the second book gives us more suspense.… (plus d'informations)

While Makaylie knows that Cain is continuing to hide things her heart is too invested to try and forget him but she tries for the sake of her own sanity. These two have a lot that is piled up against them and when things look dire their love seems to prevail except things are really starting to become dangerous and love may not be able to save them. Will Cain and Makaylie get the happy ever after they are looking for or will those coming after them stop things before they can?
