Jack Kelly is a journalist, novelist, and historian. He received the Daughters of the American Revolution's History Award Medal for his book Band of Giants. He has contributed to national periodicals, including American Heritage magazine, and is a New York Foundation for the Arts fellow. He has afficher plus appeared on the History Channel and C-SPAN and been interviewed on National Public Radio. He grew up in a town along the Erie Canal and now lives in New York's Hudson Valley. If you you would like to glimpse a little of the circumstances of Benedict Arnolds decision to turn traitor, then this is a good book to read. It vividly paints a picture of what was one of the revolutionary wars most important battles. If not the most important. The Battle of Lake Champlain. The snubbing of Arnold by Congress after this battle is dumbfounding.
