This story is about a girl who dreams of being in a land where she and the nutcracker prince have to save the land from the evil mouse king. It is a great story to read to all children, especially at Christmas.

This version of "Snow White" gets extra bonus points for following the Grimms version very closely rather than the dumbed down Disney version. The illustrations of Snow White are prettier too (although her mom's the prettiest one in this book). A good one for comparison, because it includes the poison comb, tight corset laces, and spitting out the apple rather than being kissed as death/ life issues.

Despite the fact that I'm annoyed about Cinderella's stepsisters who are "jealous of her beauty" only looking different from Cinderella because they aren't blonde, this wasn't a bad story. Typical, simple retelling.
