I won "Your 4 Truths" by Judy Kane from the LibraryThing giveaways in exchange for an honest review. While I'm not new to the idea of creating your reality based on your beliefs and perceptions, I am new to the term Judy uses in this book, "Psych-K." While the technical meaning of Psych-K wasn't really gone over much, I enjoyed the breakdown of human needs and feel like the book is an excellent beginning to positive thinking and what it means to change your perceptions and belief system. I've personally found this to be extremely helpful in my life over the recent years and am glad to see someone sharing their knowledge that helps others begin their journey to a happier and healthier life overall.… (plus d'informations)

An interesting read, causing one to be introspective. Inner beliefs shape our perspective of the world we live in. Releasing subconscious beliefs allows positive achievement.

A really quick read that takes you through key personal beliefs that consciously and unconsciously shape our lives. Does the book provide anything that I would describe as original, radical, or life-changing? No. But it does provide some excellent food for thought and reflection. And since it is a quick read, it's worth picking up if you have a free couple of hours.

(Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.)

This short book, received through LibraryThing's Early Readers program, presents four statements about an individual’s own self-understanding and beliefs. They aren’t new ideas, but I found it worthwhile to reflect on them. The concepts are: “You are Safe”, “You are Worthy”, “You are Lovable”, and “You are Connected”. The author describes the characteristics of believing that those statements are true, and scenarios that show what can happen when a person, either the reader or one of the author’s clients, does not embrace those statements. In addition to the descriptive material, at the end of each chapter for one of the statements she provides “Clues” to help the reader determine if they believe that they are safe, worthy, lovable, or connected. She also asks reflection questions for each of the statements.

I found the book to be encouraging and a useful resource for thinking about myself. However, it does not provide help in actually implementing a change. It left me wondering “what next?”
