Aubrey Kachingwe

The author’s only novel; an autobiographical (I assume) account of the transition from British colonial rule to Uhuru in his (unnamed) country, told from the perspective of a fledgling journalist. It reads more like a diary than a novel, full of random details, without a narrative arc or character development. Interesting perhaps as a historic artifact but I am glad the author chose to dedicate himself to journalism after this one attempt at fiction.
