I was a fan of the band's music, but didn't know much about the band, and I found this book a little difficult to follow. Some basic editorial apparatus like photograph captions and an index would have been very helpful. The book is kind of embarrassingly designed to have the DIY, collage-style look of Pavement album art, but is obviously done by a professional. Concludes with an excellent discography.
