Two stars for the generic text, but four for the beautiful illustrations of a wholesome, happy family. The prayer here is a series of promises to the baby that he will be loved, blessed, and cared for. MIchael Jordan didn't always feel accepted or successful when it came to the game of basketball. He feels that quitting may be easier that continuing to feel like he isn't good enough. Michael's mother tells him that in order to achieve his dreams he needs to pray and put a little salt in his shoes. Michael continues to work hard on his game of basketball and decides to join the court again, proving to be successful.

I thought this was a nice book. I liked that it was written by his family members. I loved that Michael never gave up and how much he was able to accomplish.
