The annotations, production notes, observations from Coppola and behind-the-scenes anecdotes are wonderful. However, this is NOT the "complete screenplay," but a transcription of the film. We don't get Coppola's and Puzo's descriptive writing in the actual script or the actual shooting script. The author just wrote down all the dialogue and scene descriptions from watching the film, leadiing to long, repetetive sections of this "screenplay" consisting of line after line of "(SPEAKS ITALIAN)" OR "(SPEAKS SICILIAN)" or "(SPEAKS LATIN)".
