Claudia Taylor acquired the nickname "Lady Bird" in infancy and was always known by it for the rest of her life. Not particularly useful as a field guide because of its bulkiness, and not particularly useful because of the paucity of plants covered. It is, however, very beautifully designed and arranged.

This is a beautiful book, and I was fortunate enough to have Lady Bird autograph it for me.
She is as gracious as she is portrayed. Of course, we, here in Texas, got more exposure to her than some others.
