Although I'm not a mother yet, I love reading true stories from women that have been there and done it. Most of those stories scare me to death and I remind myself to always use contraception. Juliet M. Johnson's light-hearted essays on motherhood weren't all that scary though. In fact, they were pretty entertaining and easy to read. She describes various everyday situations that are all too common once you have children. From giving birth, to cooking healthy meals, to dropping your kids off at preschool, Johnson has an interesting anecdote for every occasion. She certainly doesn't try to sugarcoat anything, and makes it clear that having kids is stressful and chaotic at times. Yet it is an experience that is also filled with intense joy and love, which make it obviously worth while.
I enjoyed reading this small book and would recommend it.… (plus d'informations)
