I’m a little tempted to round it up, because this was just so lovely and heart-meltingly romantic, and there was such a beautiful human-and-horse bond here that it just about brought tears to my eyes!

Tucker started out as a bully and an asshole — I admit I didn’t remember him from book 1, until Cal helpfully popped up and provided an explanation — but his behavior was somewhat erratic, and considering his past friendship with Nate, I knew there was more to him than met the eye… I was right, and the explanation broke my little heart.… (plus d'informations)

While contemporary romance has never been my go-to genre, I enjoy it every once in a while. This was a recommendation from one of my new friends — thank you! — and a welcome break from my usual fare of fantasy and historical novels.

Down Low was a really good second-chance romance, angsty and sexy in all the right places. The writing was solid. I liked the little flashbacks at the beginning of each chapter, but it’s a shame the whole story was told from Cal’s POV. I wouldn’t mind knowing some of Eli’s thoughts, but then again, that probably would have clashed with that ‘strong and silent’ vibe he had going on!
