It's like Delano never went away. Seriously, this reads extremely like his early Hellblazers from around 1990ish. So if you like that... etc., etc.
The main plot here is that some demons are taking advantage of the destruction in Iraq, and are gleefully turning it into Pandemonium, hoovering up souls as they go. Interesting to read that next to The Fixer, where the escalating death and destruction - and those taking advantage of it - are based in the mortal plane. Not that Delano is excusing humanity for its atrocities, or blaming the supernatural - he's too angry and misanthropic for that.

What an action packed story. It's an old trope, hero needs to get a prisoner to a location with the whole city set against him, but I love the trope so much. It gets me every time and Jock's story he tells us no exception. The right towards the middle of the book is particularly brutal and I love how Jock showed us a beaten and tired Batman that fights on regardless. Just a damn good comic presented well with a simple premise. Good the way Die Hard is good.… (plus d'informations)
