Those months, the months before she disappeared, were the best months. Really. Just the best. Every moment presented itself to her like a gift and said, Here I am, another perfect moment, just look at me, can you believe how lovely I am? Every morning was a flurry of mascara and butterflies, quickening pulse as she neared the school gates, blooming joy as her eyes found him. School was no longer a cage, it was the bustling, spotlight film set for her love story.

Creepy, horrific story of a sociopath mother Josie, her two daughters, husband and a podcaster name Alix Summer. This is not my
Genre and nearly dropped it before half way through and maybe should have.

I really enjoyed this book, it meant all the correct thriller book moments that it needed to hit. Highly recommend if you like a nice fast paced thriller.

Invisible Girl is a fast-paced, easy read, following 17-year-old Saffyre as she gets unwittingly tangled in the family drama of her former therapist, Roan Fours, and then goes missing.

As Saffyre begins to trail Roan and his mistress Alyshia, she befriends Roan's son, Josh, and empathizes with his wife, Cate. As Roan and Alyshia cavort around the city, so does a mystery man assaulting women in Saffyre's neighborhood. But when Saffyre suddenly turns up missing, the police arrest a 33-year-old self-proclaimed incel (involuntary celibate), Owen, who just had a run-in with two female students where he teaches. Cate, however, becomes increasingly suspicious over the time her husband spends away from the house and with his past connection between him and the missing girl.

Unfortunately, there wasn't much meat on this story's bone and my favorite character was the cameo appearance made by a fox. Lisa Jewell writes a good story, Invisible Girl just wasn't my favorite.
