Milan Jesih

Milan Jesih was born in 1950 in Ljubljana. His books Soneti (Sonnets, 1989), Soneti drugi (Sonnets the Second, 1993) and Jambi (Iambics, 2000) represent the peak of Slovenian postmodernism in poetry. In addition to his poetry, he has written plays and produced numerous translations into Slovenian afficher plus from English and Russian. Nada Groelj has contributed English translations to the bilingual editions of three Slovene poets-France Prescren and Tone Pavcek (with co-translators), and Joze Snoj - and to numerous anthologies.
