I really liked the way the three authors wrote this book, as it reads like one book but is actually three separate ones. I hope to see more of this type of collaboration in future books. The Santa Brigade were awesome.

I *really* enjoyed this book. It looks like it's a re-release, but it sure didn't read that way. Not dated in the least. (and 2006 vs. 2013 is quite a difference imo)

Tanya is from Sonora, a town with which I'm well acquainted. I grew up in a similar town closer to the coast of California. I could almost picture Tanya's salon - the description of the ladies getting pampered was so vivid that I felt like I knew them even though we only see them for a few pages.

AJ, Frank and Denny were all pretty hilarious in their interactions. Both amongst themselves, and with Tanya. Although Sharyn was only in a few parts of the story, she made an impression.

Tanya and AJ had one thing in common - neither of them wanted to do "Pretty Women", a reality show about makeovers. AJ had been there, and done that. He had a script he wanted to get into production, and when Frank used that desire as bait, AJ simply couldn't say no. It didn't mean he had to like it.

Tanya had her own demons to wrestle. Living up to her family's expectations was a big one. Now if that would only spur her to get over her fear of public speaking - maybe she could actually make them all happy. It didn't hurt that the premise was something she could get behind. Making over normal people that wanted a drastic change but were headed in the wrong direction. *THAT* she could do.

AJ and Denny didn't know the asset they'd get when Tanya stepped behind her scissors. The trouble started when she noticed the cameras were turned on. But Tanya's Gram had an idea. She saw sparks between the two, and knew if AJ could distract her, she'd up her game.

So the sparring began. Barbs flew left and right, and Tanya gave as good as she got. AJ found himself throwing himself into his job because arguing and subsequently watching Tanya was the highlight of his day.

So what happens when he can't help wanting to be around her after the set went dark? You'll have to read it and find out for yourself!

Fun holiday story with Santas, charity, and love all wrapped in humor. I liked the co-mingled anthology. Three guys head to Maine with a Santa brigade during a blizzard for their mentor's wedding.
