I found this book on the shelf-who am I kidding, shelves of "books to be read". It is a lot like an Elmore Leonard book, but the flow of the story is a little jumpy, hence only 4 stars.
Myra is a drop dead beautiful Public Defender,and future Playboy model. Se is set up to defend Napoleon Booker, a repeat drug dealer/ gang member who is charged with robbery and murder. Only he is innocent and Myra so knows he is, the only problem is they are both in the way of some powerful people getting their way.
The characters are both smart and funny. The language is quite strong, not shortage of 4 letter words and racial slurs, but the book is still fun to read.… (plus d'informations)
