The Amnesic Betrayal has a good storyline, but the writing didn't quite hit the mark for me. The writing felt superficial, and I wasn't able to form a connection with any of the characters. The plot contained everything a good book should - multiple points of view, deception, plot twists, betrayal, and ultimately the conclusion didn't leave me wanting. Rather than a work of fiction, it read almost as a history textbook, accounting a blow by blow of the family's life. While I work in healthcare and was able to understand the medical jargon used, much of it was overly technical for a general reader base. Similarly, a lot of acronyms were used that didn't add anything to the story rather than saving a few words in the final word count. From "ragging" days of medical school to the amusing memoirs of being a doctor, Dr Jay has a knack for retelling his professional and personal real life experiences.
We start off with 12 short stories followed by 18 anecdotes all very diverse in content to keep readers entertained.
It is easy reading and would be for anyone who requires some light hearted entertainment.
